The Art of Elle Pedron

From a fairly young age, Elle Pedron was interested in art and artistic pursuits. Her initial interests were not painting, but she started to look into that avenue as she got older. As with many artists, her artistic statements range emotionally, but she acts upon all of her emotions vivaciously and without apology. Elle gave us a little time and answered some of our questions. This interesting story is best heard in her own words.

Man and Machines
Self-Titled EP

Not just another Horror-electro group. They give the whole notion of horror-electro a new spin by adding a dual gender sound to their work. The work is cohesive, alluring, a little scary and very dance-able. Nothing like Blood, Guts Rhythm and Steel to get your blood pumping.

Make a Gothy Jewelry Box

This month Rebecca was talking to me and telling me that she realizes that lots of Goths have a ton of jewelry. With this in mind, they need some place to store it. Personally I am guilty of being particularly bad about how I store my silver. So, the solution is, of course, a jewelry box! This one takes some prep and a little bit of forethought, so it’s probably best to give yourself a bit of time to gather everything that you will need for the project.

Vampire Love

By: Casanova Shamdil

She waits for her victims to come present. The beautiful cemeteries’ cold mist filled the spot on her pale face. She wishes not to kill; but more to love. She cannot love, for what she is a specimen of human off spring-yet to be discovered by the technology unknown. Behind the tree in the graveyard she waits, and finally, she spots a boy. The boy was about the age in his mid teens, approaching adulthood; he visits his father’s grave in mourning. Alcoholism killed him, and he continues to weep, so many people do not understand him. She watches, clad in black as he is, but she had the feeling at first sight that he was different. Yes he, visiting his fathers fameless grave. It had been there for years. How she knows this, she reads the blood of humans with her mind, yet not the same as tasting the delicious blood.

After forming and dissolving The Claw, Maxxx and N0emi decided that they needed to refocus and tackle a new musical challenge. With a new vision in mind and a fresh start, Helalyn Flowers rolled out their first release, “Disconnection.” This set the foundation for the sound that you can hear in their newest release “E-Race Generation.” Their music sounds like a fusion of modern electro-pop and mid-ninties electro-rock. Now on top of the powerful synthesizers and heavy guitars, imagine a seductive female voice. This is what you get when you listen to Helalyn Flowers. Maxxx was good enough to give us some of his time so we will let him tell you the story of Helalyn Flowers and all of the details that come with.

Formed in Florida and sleeping with dreams of world domination, Man and Machines is a group ready to take you on a ride. They have blended mechanical sounds with a male/female vocal duality that is perfection. Born in 2000, the Man and Machines concept was developed out of Ricki Guns’ desire to make electronic music, and eventually Angi, his sister, got involved in the project.

More Accessories to Die For

As noted at the end of my last column, our crowd has more accessories to work into our wardrobe than your average normie. Along with the usual earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and rings, there are other accessories to be worked into a good club outfit. We Goths get to play around with things like arm-warmers, gloves, and hair/dreadfalls.

The Newest Goth: Gothic Belly Dance

We all know the traditional Goth styles: the Goth-a-Billy, the Punker, the Vampire, the Death Rocker, the Cyber-Freak, the Rivethead….etc. But have you met the newest student to the class? Everyone, meet the Belly Dance Goth.

Now I know what you are thinking. “Wait a minute, Belly Dance!?!?!? Where in the wide world of Goth does that come into play? What can Belly dance (that’s that Egyptian thing where they wear a lot of sequins and rat their hair really big, right?) and goth possibly have in common??” Believe it or not, they have a LOT in common. Let me ‘splain. No, there is too much, let me sum up: Full Story »
