1Nov 06 By: Chris Stead ![]() Last month we took a look at Shannon’s story regarding the start of GOTHIC. She had so much to say about her organization that we couldn’t fit it all in one article. This month we get down to some of the basic questions that you might ask if you had the opportunity. Album ReviewsPosted by admin

1Nov 06 By: Chris Stead Album Reviews Crud Devil at the Wheel A good little piece of dirty industrial rock, this album will remind you of the sleaze that was La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Volume 666 by White Zombie, but in such a good way. This album is raunchy goodness to the last drop. If I had to choose between a sandwich and this album I would buy the album. Home ProjectsPosted by admin

1Nov 06 By: Shannon Hunter See the Family in Style (And don’t give Grandma A Coronary) There’s an obvious chill in the air these days. Leaves are turning gold, amber, and crimson and I love it! Jack Frost has already nipped at my nose and I fear we will not see the sun for many moons now. It’s time for Fall to turn towards Winter. With November, comes my favorite time of year–the beginning of the holiday season! Unfortunately, it is also the most nerve-wracking time of year for me and not for the reasons you would typically expect. By: Chris Stead ![]() Collide started with Statik and kaRIN meeting in an Industrial club in the mid nineties and has developed into an undeniable force in the Goth scene. With their trademark sound and five albums under their proverbial belt, Collide has become a trendsetting group that many now quote as being influential on their sound and performance. Statik and kaRIN have collaborated with members of Nine Inch Nails, Tool and Skinny Puppy and have contributed music to soundtracks for movies. As well, both Statik and kaRIN have worked with groups on other productions making them noteworthy across many fronts. kaRIN was kind enough to sit down with Gothic Angst Webzine and answer some questions amidst their busy schedule. 1Nov 06 By: The Gothling Corsets: A Deep Breath and In-Depth Look So as many of you may have noticed, we ladies on the scene are mad for corsets, over-bust, under-bust, waist-cincher, you name it and we wear it, have it, or want it. I, in my never ending quest for knowledge, have mercilessly interrogated (meaning, I actually asked) a girlfriend who worked at Frederick’s, and scoured the web pages of many a corsetiere, to bring you the best advice on the fit and care of corsets. 1Nov 06 By: Asherra Goth Culture: The Third Generation What It Means To Be Goth: One Woman’s Perspective As it exists in the present day, it’s hard to imagine that the Goth subculture came from the same root as the current punk scene. Goths are to punks what vampires are to werewolves, evolved from the same ancestor yet as different as siblings can get. When I think of punk, I associate it with hot pink mohawks, sleeveless jean-jackets with Dead Kennedys and anarchy patches on the back, and the all purpose red tartan taper slacks (adorned with an appropriate number of chains and zippers, of course). 1Nov 06 By: Chris Stead Stormdrain Art without Apology Stormdrain, a group out of San Francisco, are no newcomers to the industrial music scene. Having started work in the mid-90’s, Scott Reyns was out to make original, genuine art without compromising because of pressure or the vision of others. Through perseverance Stormdrain has found a solid lineup and released their CD The Immovable Objection. They are currently playing out and about in San Francisco.
