Starlit

With their first release, Starlit has presented a new and interesting sound upon the world. Although clearly rooted in rock, their sound is a unique and encouraging blend of rock and industrial. Not only that, but included for your pleasure is the sultry tones of Simara Rose.

Simara Rose has been good enough to give us a bit of time and answer our questions. Starlit presents an interesting blend of rock ethic and a positive message that is so lacking in music today. They strive to encourage people to think about their actions and above all Starlit encourages perseverance.

Gothic Angst Webzine (GAW): How did Starlit form?

From a young age
I have always felt comfort in the endless luminous
Beauty and strength
From the stars and heavens
They have been my sanctuary
My sign of hope an the truth
Starlit found me
And saved me.

GAW: What are the main influences on your music?

GAW: I’ve noticed that you take an active stance for animal rights. Does this carry into your music?

Everything I do has to do with true love, music and animal lib.
Every breath I take.
Every choice I make.
Every move I make.

GAW: Simara Rose, if you don’t mind sharing, do the heart and star on your cheek mean something in particular?

Yes, it is to guide my vision and focus on that which
is most important
true love and my dreams.

GAW: Are there plans in the near future for a tour?

Heavens yes..elaborate, detailed, majestic,
innovative, revolutionary plans indeed.

GAW: Is there a crystalline message that you are trying to convey with your music?

Persafuckinvere. [sic]
Follow your heart.
Listen to your soul.
Never give up,
or in.

GAW: With regard to being a “Spicy she-wolf” is this referring to Simara or is there something hidden in the title of your CD?

It’s a reflection of many elements.
Danger an beauty often go hand and hand.
I have a tatoo that in German says “there is pleasure in
my pain and pain in my pleasure;” something I wrote and
I find that to be true with almost everything.

GAW: Did the band name Starlit influence the pin-up style photos or vice versa?

Not at all. Clothes are costumes for the spirit.
I have a passion for fashion.
